Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all contractual relationships between the Organizer and participants, attendees, artists and staff (collectively “Participants”) of Bachata Explosion events in Berlin, other announced locations in Germany.

2. Contract Formation / Tickets

• Tickets are offered via the Organizer’s website and ticket platforms (e.g., Ticket Tailor, Go&Dance). Prices may change based on demand.
• By purchasing a ticket, a binding contract is concluded with the Organizer for the selected event and ticket category.
• Ticket resale for commercial purposes is prohibited unless expressly permitted in writing.
• Lost or stolen tickets/wristbands will not be replaced.

Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

Tickets for dated leisure services are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal pursuant to § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB.

3. Check-In, Wristbands & Access

• Access is granted upon presentation of a valid ticket and exchange for a wristband (or digital equivalent). The wristband is personal, non-transferable once issued and must remain intact and visible.
• Damaged, removed or lost wristbands may lead to denial of entry without replacement.

4. Schedule, Program & Changes

• Schedules (workshops, parties, activities, venues) are published on official channels and may be updated at any time.
• Program and artist changes do not entitle Participants to rescind or receive a refund.
• Late arrival does not create any claim to price reduction or refund.
• If a performance is stopped after more than half of the scheduled duration, no refund is due.

5. Postponement / Cancellation / Refunds

• If an event is postponed, purchased tickets typically remain valid for the new date.
• If an event is cancelled by the Organizer, the ticket price will be refunded; further claims (e.g., travel/hotel costs) are excluded.
• Refunds are otherwise excluded unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Ticket Transfer

A paid ticket may be transferred to another person no later than 14 calendar days before the event start by emailing info@bachataexplosion.com. The Organizer may charge a reasonable handling fee and can refuse transfers that violate these Terms.

6. House Rules & Code of Conduct

• Respectful behavior is required. Harassment, discrimination or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated and may result in removal without refund.
• Instructions from the Managing Director, event supervisors and authorized staff must be followed.
• The Organizer may conduct security checks (e.g., bag checks). Refusal may lead to denial of entry without refund.
• Admission is for persons 18+ only. Participation is at your own risk; ensure you are medically fit.

7. Liability / Cloakroom / Force Majeure

• The Organizer is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
• For simple negligence, liability exists only for breach of essential contractual duties (Kardinalpflichten) and is limited to foreseeable damages typical for the contract.
• The Organizer is not liable for lost or damaged personal items except as required by mandatory law. Cloakroom may be free or charged; liability only in cases of intent or gross negligence.
• Force majeure (e.g., extreme weather, official orders, epidemics/pandemics) may require cancellation, postponement, program modifications or attendance restrictions; further claims are excluded.

8. Photography, Video & Data Protection

• By attending, Participants grant the Organizer the right to use photo/video/audio recordings for documentation and promotional purposes (social media, website, press) without geographic or temporal limitation and without compensation.
• Private filming/recording during workshops or parties is prohibited unless explicitly permitted by the Organizer or artists.
• Personal data is processed for ticketing and event execution in accordance with applicable law. See the Privacy Policy for details.

9. ODR / Governing Law / Severability / Updates

The EU platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The Organizer is neither obliged nor willing to participate in consumer ADR proceedings.

German law applies. If you are a merchant or have no general jurisdiction in Germany, exclusive jurisdiction is Berlin. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

If any provision is invalid, the remainder stays effective. Updated Terms are published on the website and apply at the time of purchase/participation.
